Mai Po Bird Pin - Black-capped Kingfisher
One of four common species of Kingfisher at Mai Po. They mainly prey on fish, but sometimes also consume flying insects and frogs. It can be found at Inter-tidal mudflat. It is a winter visitor but can also be found in spring and autumn. It often perches and frequently flies between mangrove edge and mudflat.
